Wednesday, May 27 - Event Update

Dear PBW Community,

It is with a heavy heart that the Plant Based World team has decided not to hold the show in October 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19.  We make this decision with the unanimous support of our partners and advisory council, and with the health and safety of the PBW community as our top concern.

Plant Based World is an experiential event featuring food sampling and demos, and genuine human interaction. Given the state of the world at this time and the uncertainty of the near future, we do not feel that we can guarantee a safe environment to hold a show of this nature come October. We are working with the Javits Convention Center to solidify new dates for 2021.

While this decision comes with immense disappointment for our team and the community we serve, we do see threads of a silver lining. The health of our bodies and the planet we share has never been a more pressing topic. We firmly believe that in the coming months and years more people will become aware of the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle and our movement will continue to grow.

We look forward to a future when we can once again gather en masse to share food and drink, flaunt our uncovered smiles, and freely distribute handshakes and hugs to our fellow humans. Rest assured that for years to come, PBW will be there to showcase the innovations and celebrate the progress we have made towards a healthier world for all beings.

Stay tuned to our website, newsletter and social pages for updates in the coming months as we seek creative ways to engage our community in the absence of a physical event. We exist to support you and your personal and professional growth, and we intend to continue to do so.

Thank you for your understanding, courage and strength in these challenging times.

In solidarity,

The Plant Based World Team

Monday, March 16 - A message from Plant Based World

Dear Plant Based World Community,
Plant Based World Conference & Expo was designed to be the home for the plant-based movement and the industry it supports to gather, conduct business and celebrate the progress being made towards a healthier world for all beings.  This purpose will forever remain the core guiding principle of all decisions made by our team.
With that in mind, and due to the latest developments in the COVID-19 outbreak, we have decided that we must postpone the June 5-6 event. We are currently discussing the alternative dates of October 2-3, 2020 with the Javits Center and plan to officially confirm them soon. Given the uncertainty of the next 60-90 days, the PBW team and our partners feel that making this decision now affords us the greatest opportunity to hold an event in 2020 that will make us all proud.
We will be reaching out directly to our valued PBW exhibitors and attendees over the next few days to discuss further details. In the weeks to come we intend to put our digital and social platforms to use and find creative ways to keep our community engaged during this challenging and isolated time. If you have any questions or ideas please feel free to reach out to anyone on the PBW Team:

Thank you for your ongoing support, and for doing your best to navigate these difficult times with poise and positivity. We are all in this together.
In solidarity,
The Plant Based World Team

Friday, March 12 - Plant Based World Conference & Expo – Still On as Planned

Plant Based World Conference & Expo is expected to take place as scheduled June 5-6 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The health and safety of our customers and staff is our number one priority. As things develop in the weeks ahead we will continue to monitor and update the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization’s statements regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and follow any new guidelines put forth by these agencies as well as local health departments.  We will also be working closely with the Javits Center management team to reinforce their already enhanced measures on-site regarding cleaning and hygiene initiatives.

We will continue to post any additional updates on our website.  The team at Plant Based World is holding true to our mission of creating a safe and productive space for this community to gather. We are continuing efforts to market the show to our business, healthcare and consumer audiences, developing cutting-edge content, and fielding exhibitor and sponsor applications daily.
