Mark started his career in finance before joining Target Corporation where he held several positions across the finance and merchandising organizations. The bulk of his Target experience was leading strategic, cross category brand partnerships with Target’s largest CPG vendors, including the design and execution of complex merchandising negotiations. Before leaving Target to pursue the fast-paced world of tech start-ups, Mark spent several years as Senior Buyer for one of Target’s largest Food + Beverage categories, as measured in retail sales.
Mark graduated with distinction, earning a BA in History, Political Science and International Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He lives in Minneapolis, MN with his partner Lauren, an acupuncturist, and their two kids. In his own words, “I am an amateur trail ultra marathoner, cross-country skier, cyclist and rock and ice climber. Long, hard days in the cathedrals of wilderness have given me some of the most profound experiences of my life. Protecting these spaces is as important to me as enjoying them.”
